Make disc issue with VideoStudio 10
I have been using VideoStudio 10 to make home movies for a while now and I have always been able to make new DVD movie every time after re-editing the movie project. But I encountered a problem this evening. I couldn't make new movie from my newly edited project. It always pulled the old project for the movie making. If I delete the default movie project in the make disc screen and re-select the movie project, it comes up with nothing when I try to view it. But the movie project looks completely fine with my recent changes in the edit mode. Please help. Thanks.

With your new edited project in the timeline, go to Share > Create Video File > DVD instead of Share > Create Disc. This will render a DVD-compatible mpeg-2 of your new project.
When it is ready, save your project, and go to File > New Project, to open a new one. Don't bother giving it a name. The objective is merely to clear the timeline completely.
Then go to Share > Create Disc. The burning module will open but there should be nothing in the timeline. Manually insert your new mpeg-2. Make sure 'do not convert compliant mpeg files' is ticked in the Options cogwheel icon in the bottom left of the burning screen. Build your menus and burn.

It's not really a trick -- just an alternative workflow which I, and many others on this Board, have used since I started using Video Studio way back with version 7.
Some people use your original workflow all the time with no problems. Others, like you, use it successfully most of the time, but occasionally run into problems. So it is useful to know there is another way of approaching the issue when you *do* run into such a problem.
