PhotoImpact 10 Brush Problem

I recently bought the full version of PhotoImpact 10 after using and liking the features in version 7. I use the Clone & Paintbush extensively. These features really worked great in version 7. I generally use the clone & paintbrush while zoomed to 300-400-500 % on a photo to work on fine details. I loved the way I was able to adjust my brush shape, size and position in version 7. In version 10 when I zoom in at these percentages the brush panel displaying my brush is so small and faded that it is almost useless for the fine detail. I have to adjust the transparency to see it to get the correct shape and angle, however it is still too small of a representation to determine the correct angle and shape. I have dug around in all the preferences and options and I see no way to fix this problem. I love some of the new features in version 10 especially the color cast which allows me to color old Black and white photos. Therefore, I would like to continue to use version 10.
Does anybody know how to fix this problem?
