Hello,
I've got a problem with capturing HVD from Canon HV10 on Vista.
It says "Unable to switch to Capture Mode. Check if you video capture driver is working properly. [15023:4:2]"
Previously I was able to capture HDV on Windows XP using VS10+ and VS11+ and now I can capture HDV on Vista using Windows Movie Maker without any problems, but VS11+ can capture only DV.
Does somebody know how to fix this problem?
Thank you.

Can you import the file from Movie Maker into VS? I've run into the same problem as you, but with an HDR-HC3. Vista sees the camera and shows the driver is working properly. I got the same error message as you...camera can't capture in HD under either Vegas or VS11+.
I CAN capture under Movie Maker, and the video is flawless. However, when I try to import the .TS file, neither program can actually import it, even though I can play the file under WMP.
It's truly frustrating. I wish I knew if there was a step I was missing.
