Can't install VideoStudio 11
I purchased the downloadable version of "VideoStudio 11 plus" I received several links to download the files, and a Registered to name, and an activation key. When I run the first installation program it asks me for a user name and a serial number. I have not been given a serial number and entering the activation key doesn't work. What am I doing wrong? Or what is the software doing wrong?

A lot of programs require all fields in the installation Name/Company/Serial Number box to be filled in. On the other hand, some don't. I have simply made it a general practice, under 'Company', to type in NA (for not applicable) or sometimes 'Retired'.
But I accept it is frustrating that there is no uniform practice on this from software companies -- especially those selling to the amateur end of the market where it is largely private individuals buying the product, and not a company anyway!
As a footnote, I am seeing, with Vista on one of my computers, that it seems to auto-fill in some installation boxes, at least in the name and company spaces. It gets the name right, but then -- no doubt helpfully!
-- fills in 'Company' as HP since it is a HP Pavilion computer... So I have to change it anyway!!!

Nothing more frustrating than buying a nice bit of software then finding you can't install it! I'm assuming there was no obvious prompt for you to fill in the company field as you said you stumbled upon the solution. It's particually annoying when powerful software doesn't have the basic things like this ironed out.
