MF6-Plus DVD Menu Highlight Buttons

Post by Cannonball7 »

Has anyone had any issues with the menus in MF6-Plus not putting the chapter menu highlight button by the section?

The highlight buttons show up in the "preview" when creating the DVD...but once I burn the disk, you can't see them on screen in order to make a selection.

Help!

What is the exact version number of your software, and how was it obtained (download, retail, etc...) :?:

George:

I have "Ulead DVD MovieFactory 6 - Plus" that I purchased online from Corel 2 weeks ago. I would assume that it is the most current version...but that may be wrong.

I am operating it on a Dell Dimension 9100 PC with XP Professional/SP 2 Build 2600 (Intel Chips). I am running dual hard drives that mirror each other.

Hope this tells you what you need to know. Thanks, in advance, for your assistance!

I'll have to pull that tomorrow as I am not near that computer right now.

My version number is 6.00.0194.0

Because I downloaded the trial version, I completely uninstalled the program and removed all folders/files on my computer - then, reinstalled it from the disk.

The problem still exists whether I use text or animated menus. I still do not get any "highlight buttons" when I burn a disk or create a DVD on my computer's hard drive.

Now, I've uninstalled the purchased version and reinstalled the trial version - that originally worked so well. Now, it won't show the chapter highlight buttons either. This is getting very frustrating!

I don't know if it will help, but have you tried downloading/installing the patch for MF6?

I have downloaded the patch and installed...but it had no effect.

I don't know if this has anything to do with my problem...but I am running two hard drives that mirror each other. Maybe that is causing a conflict...

Update...I've been told by my IT guy that the mirror drives should not make a difference. The program doesn't know that difference.

I'm thinking one of the "common" files is corrupt (or not being updated properly during a re-install).

Try this:

Rename the "DVD" folder to something else (just to have a backup), and re-install the FULL version of the software.

The DVD folder is located here:
Program Files / Common Files / Ulead Systems / DVD

Same Issue Here

Post by noyuck »

I have the very same issue. I have posted here as well and they are still looking into it. Good luck, It sucks but you will be anle to see the highlights when you play it in the computer I bet, but when you play the dvd on a regular dvd player they don't show. Something is so wrng with DVDMF6. I got mine about a month ago and have wasted more money in DVD's then the program cost trying to get this stuff to work correctly. I've been a Movie Factory 3 through 6 owner, but this is getting a little old.
