Why Not Media Studio Pro 8 rather than VideoStudio

Post by tzvi »

I am just a beginner, so maybe this is a strictly beginner's question.

When I saw all the things that people wanted added to the next upgrade of video studio, and when I saw all the complaints about how much the upgrades cost, and when I noticed how much other software some people use to supplement VdeoStudio, I asked myself, why not just invest in Ulead's professional program: media Studio Pro 8? Is it that it's too expensive? Or that it doesn't provide most of what's missing in video studio 8? Or is it that specialized supplementary programs do the job better?

Thanks,
Tzvi

The price and the learning curve.
You have to really want or need it.

It's more complicate to start using it, I never could make a single project in the 30-days trial period for MSP7 and MSP8. I admit a month is maybe 2 or 3 real use hours. Spare time is a rare commodity.

I have used a lot of NLE programs for years, from the most elementary from Roxio or ArcSoft up to Edius 4, and those of Pinnacle and Magix, and I found MediaStudio really hard to get started with, often counter-intuitive or overly complex.
I'm sure from reading the posts that once you get the hang of it, you don't want to come back. If you have the money.

VS being updated more often (yearly) follows competition's features closer. At the cost of bugs and instability.
This my understanding of it.
I have been proven wrong on several occasions in my life. It's not going to improve.
