I tried to make my first film , I cut all scenes, I add music and some titles and when I tried to share and click" Create video file" - > Same as Project settings - I got information " Rendering 0% - Press ESC to abort" And for 3 hours I still get 0% . I tried this few times and nothing works...can You help me? What could be a reason of this?
Nature of the problem:
I cut all scenes, I add music and some titles and when I tried to share and click" Create video file" - > Same as Project settings - I got information " Rendering 0% - Press ESC to abort" And for 3 hours I still get 0% . I tried this few times and nothing works
Properties of your source files (format, file size, where did you get it?)
All films were made on sony sr-190 on hdd. Everything was on MPG format and MP3.
What devices are involved and their mode of connection?
None, only LG - DVD -recorder
Project Settings:
Default settings
Output format (file, DVD, VCD, SVCD)
I've trided DVD format, and MPEG.
PAL or NTSC
PAL - settings
Error Codes (if any)
No error - computer is frozen and I have to wake up it through CTRL+ALT+DEL
I could possibly be the MP3 files causing the hang. Instead of creating a video file go to the share tab and create an audio wav (PCM) file. Then delete all the soud files in your project and mute any clips with sound. Import the newly created audio file then try to output to a video file.
Even after you fix the audio I suggest you read many of VS tutorials (many on the bottom page of this forum) to learn how VS works, setting Preferences & Project Settings is very important.
Otherwise all your editing can result in a poor video.
Don't expect VS to do everything automatically, you control the program and tell it what to do.
Preferences & Project Settings are very important.
Ex: Under Preferences, Rendering Quality/Re-sampling should be set to Best.
Match project settings when inserting 1st video clip into timeline = Yes.
Going by your post most likely your videos are upper_field_first. If you use the default settings (setup for DV Camcorders) this setting is Lower_Field_First. You can't render a good video with these incorrect fielding settings.
