Problems Importing Video Clips made with DVD Shrink

Post by The Walrus »

With ULead 10 I was able to import clips I made using DVD Shrink.

I downloaded the trial version of ULead VS 11, and when I try to import the same type of clip, I get this error message:
Unable to open file [C:\Documents and Settings\My Computer\VTS_01_1.VOB].

File format mismatch.
Does anyone have any idea what might be the problem?

For some completely unknown (and IMHO stupid) reason, Corel/Intervideo/Ulead decided not to allow the direct import of .vob files into VS11...

If you rename the .vob extension to .mpg, you will probably be able to open it in VS. Or else, use the Insert DVD/DVD-VR command and point it at the DVD or DVD folder containing the .vob files you want to import.
