Overlay Tracks

Post by MrLevodevo »

How do I add video overlay tracks? I saw that there were about 5 in the Sample Project, but I can't seem to find the button to add more. Thanks.

You don't say which version of VS you are using. The extra overlay tracks are only available in Versions 10 and 11 with '+' (PLUS) after them.

In the default Edit screen, with Timeline view selected, then just above the ruler which sits over the timeline, and almost exactly in the middle of the screen, there is an icon with two film reels and a tick. If you hover your mouse over it, it will indicate that it is the overlay manager. If you click on it, you can select overlay tracks which you want to add.

Aha, right there before my very eyes and I didn't see it. Thanks for your help :)

I'm using version 11 by the way.
