VideoStudo 11+ installing Error - AVControlSDK A fatal error

I Just got VideoStudo 11+ and while it was installing AVControlSDK , I got the "A fatal error has occurred whilst installing" error.

I had installed VideoStudo 10 back a month ago without issue. Whats the deal. Has Ulead gone down hill?

I don't have an answer for you but if it makes you feel any better, I tried the install for the trial version of VS 11 and got the same message ("fatal error during installation") as you did.

Very frustrating! Very annoying!

This works, try it.

I had the same problem you described only I was upgrading from V8 to V11 and I was using a CD. The install would put out a dialog box saying "installing avcontrolSDK Please wait" then a dialog would come up later saying fatal error. Following your input I did the following:
1)removed the VS 11 folder that was created in the first install attempt
2)copied my upgrade CD to disk
3)edit info.ini and change AVControlSDK=1 to 0
4)ran setup from the copy on disk
5)ran utilities\AVControlSDK\AVControl.exe from the copy on disk
Thanks again, my install looks successful.

I downloaded an upgrade for version 11 as an executable - for my 9 SE version. I am receiving the same error. Where would I find the info.ini file in an executable?

You need to unpack the .exe file. Winzip or a similar tool can do that. After editing info.ini you run the setup.exe instead of the file you downloaded.
