What I'd like to see

Post by tzvi »

Someone suggested (forgive me, but I haven't figured out how to move around on this forum yet, so I couldn't find your post) we say what we'd like to see in the next upgrade of the video editing program.

I would like to see more soft transitions, suited to a subdued editing style, the kind of soft transitions that Pixelan provides for for Microsoft Movie Maker. At least, as far as I can tell (I have just gotten started with the trial program), most of the transitions are pretty flashy.

Thanks,
Tzvi

There is a cross-fade. Can't get any softer than that.

BTW, the Wish List is one of the "stickies" at the top of the forum.

More soft transitions

Hi Black Lab,

I mentioned that the Ulead editing program might be improved with more soft transitions, and you pointed out that it has the cross-fade. True, but that's the only one. Check this out:

Those look similar to the VideoStudio's Flashback transitions. Keep in mind that almost every VS transition is customizable - colors, borders, border thickness, brightness, contrast, etc.

Stills on overlay don't play with video

Post by tzvi »

I placed a series of stills taken from a video clip on the overlay track. When I play the project, I get either the video or the stills. I can't get them to run togother. Before that, I had a video on the overlay track and the superimposition worked fine.
