I have Vista and was disappointed to find that my PI 11 was no longer supported under Vista. But I found that Nova Development, which is still selling PI 11 under its branding, says an update is coming for Vista! I knew that they always had sold the prior version of PI under its brand so I checked with them. Anyway, hope it's true.
Here's the link. Look under PhotoImpact Pro 11.

PI 11 update for Vista coming? -- Nova Development says so

NOVA alter the code considerably and Pi 11 Pro (NOVA) cannot be compared with Ulead's PI 11. For starters, PI 11 Pro is the current version from NOVA, Ulead's is PI 12
Current versions should be running under Vista, I agree, but older versions? Would be nice if they did but not neccessary. Just upgrade to the latest version
With Ulead PI you can have numerous versions installed at the same time, NOVA allows you only one version. You can run Ulead Pi alongside a NOVA installation but only if you install the Nova version first. If you already have Ulead PI installed and want to install NOVA also, you will be forced to uninstall Ulead's PI versions first.

I'm surprised to hear that Nova's PI 11 Pro is that much different from Ulead PI 11. On the box, it even has Ulead's logo at the bottom. So I thought it as just PI 11 re-packaged as many other companies also do re-selling their last version to other publishers.
For example, Cyberlink also sells off their older versions to Nova. I have DVDCopy, PowerProducer and M@dia Show from Nova Development's MediaNow suite. There's are older versions repackaged and even have Cyberlink's logo on the software when launched.
I contacted Nova about PI 11 Pro and they told me the original Ulead developers were working on a patch for it to run on Vista. So you don't think that if Ulead develops a patch for Nova's PI 11 Pro that it won't work on Ulead's own PI 11?
I hope it does. If it doesn't, I will stick with other photo software that I had pre-Vista where they did release patches for Vista compatibility.
