One of the stills I am using, like most of them, doesn't fill the whole frame. But instead of the empty part of the frame appearing black, it has colored streaks running from side to side. This picture was taken at the same time as the others. Anyone have any ideas how to get rid of those streaks?
Thanks,
Tzvi

colored streaks around stills
I just noticed that the still preceding the one with the colored streaks behind it also has streaks behind it, but fewer and in black and white. Both are bl and wh photographs taken from the same camera within minutes of each other.

Hi
Whats the size and type of the images used?
What is the aspect ratio of the project, i suspect 4:3?????
When viewing a dvd on TV some of the frame is lost arround the edges, this is called overscan.
The remaining/viewable area being known as the 'safe area'.
Your images/frames may not show the colored streakes on TV.
I do not know why there is a cast of colour on to the Black and White image
Preview Screen
The preview screen does not always show the full frame. Some of the preview is unused. Leaving a black border.
To identify the full frame and preview screen, change the background colour to anything but black.
Remember to revert to black, for rendering.
Hope this helps

Jerky movement of the Pan Zoom
Hi Trevor,
You asked me if I had edited or applied any effects to the still that has a jerky movement when I use the pan zoom.
Yes, I did. I noticed that it is the only picture which is marked with what looks like a small 'L' in a small box on the left side when I use the story board. What does that mean? How could I remove it (or any other effect). I tried but couldn't figure it out.
Thanks,
Tzvi

I think this post and the previous should have been destined for , http://phpbb.ulead.com.tw/EN/viewtopic.php?t=23292
So long as you understand it
Hi tzvi
A small box within the thumbnail/clip usually indicates that one or more filter effects have been applied to the clip.
Select the clip then select tyhe 'Attributes tab'
Here you can remove the applied filters.
Select the filter in the Blue box and click the X
Each filter you apply(i think you can have 5) has an increasing effect on playback. Rendering the clip/s should result in a good file, but may take some time to create.
