VS 11 TBYB

Post by Vicki »

Hi all-
I currently am working with VS 10+. It has been great for me. I'd like to try out the new version, but I am afraid that it may cause some issues with the existing program, especially after uninstalling the trial after the period ends.

(If I end up purchasing it, I would probably get a boxed version since the TBYB activation for VS 10+ needed customer support intervention to work.)

Am I just being needlessly cautious? Did anyone have any problems with running both versions on the same PC and same drive?

Thanks,
Vicki

So what benefits would you have using VS11+ versus VS10+.
Just curious, all the issues of a new release (VS11+) can't surface for awhile, still to new a program.

I've got both VS10+ and VS11+ installed and they both seem to work fine.

They are installed in seperate folders under ulead, VS10 and VS11.

Haven't fully explored VS11 yet but it seems to do the basics OK.

Hi

Your intentions seem ok, Like other replies I run several full versions without problem.
Remember to UNINSTALL the TRIAL version before installing the full version, there should be no problems.

Purchasing the Boxed version or at least a disc copy is most advisable.

So there should be no problem running different versions (VS 11 should be no different)

But read etech6355 reply above.

Thanks guys! I appreciate the feedback.

If I purchase VS11, I would get the upgrade, but I noticed that the trial is a stand-alone program. I suppose I could always uninstall everything and reload my VS10+ if I ran into any problems, but I didn't want to jeaprodize my good luck.

Also, in no big hurry.... I can wait until they sort out any bugs.

Thanks,
Vicki

Hi

VS 10 is probably suitable for your needs.

I have not trailed VS 11 and cannot comment on the advantages.

If you feel there are bugs within VS 11 then we would appreciate your feedback.

As said earlier , you can install several versions on the same pc.
Install from the earliest version.
