Poor text in PI8

For some reason Photo Impact has started displaying all text at a poor resolution.

This has happened before and I managed to sort it but this time my mind has gone blank.

Think it is anti aliasing but can't find any option anywhere to turn this on/off. Tried resetting panels to default, nothing.

No options in Text button. Text "style" bar gives bold, italics, color, font, material etc. Right clicking and selecting text does nothing.

Any ideas?

Is my PI messed up?
