AVI FILES WON"T PLAY PROPERLY IN VIDEO STUDIO 11

Post by Hoyboys »

We are making AVI Files with ANIME STUDIO PRO ... UNCOMPRESSED ... when they are played in VIDEO STUDIO 11 the image splits in two even though it plays fine in the WINDOWS VIDEO PLAYER. We've tried the same file with many different CODECS and which case the file dosen't play at all. After two weeks of trying every possible way of finding a solution (including downloading all VISTA CODECS and contacting Technical Support) we are hoping that someone here might have an idea. We are using VISTA WINDOWS HOME PREMIUM, 533MHz. INTEL PENTIUM D PROCESSOR 820 DUAL CORE, 80GB HARD DRIVE. If you can help we would appreciate it very much. Thanks.

Can the program export your videos using the DV Codec?
If not DV directly from a template in your other program maybe you can select AVI as the container and use DV as the compression type.

VS should be able to work with the DV.

Thanks for your reply. The DV Codec is not compatable with ANIME STUDIO PRO. However, we are still trying to get the AVI UNCOMPRESSED FILES to work properly so that we know it's not a Codec problem. ALSO... any AVI files that we rendered in STUDIO 8 on WINDOW MILLENIUM 2000 do work properly in STUDIO 11. That's why we think there must be an compatability problem with either VISTA, STUDIO 11 or ANIME STUDIO PRO ... even though Both software programs are deemed VISTA COMPATABLE.

We have found a solution to our problem through the Ulead Tech Support. Just for reference the solution is: ... We first produce an AVI UNCOMPRESSED FILE in ANIME STUDIO PRO ... then take the File to WINDOWS MOVIE MAKER and turn it into a WMV ... Then it uploads and works find in the VIDEO STUDIO 11. Unfortunately it adds another step in our Animation Process but at least it works. Thanks for all your help on this and Good Luck with All your projects ... The HOYBOYS.
