Did I waste my money ?

I can't get this program to work properly. I can bring pictures in, but when I try to add music or edit effects, the program crashes every single time. Doesn't matter whether I have 10 photos or 500 in my slideshow.

I've done the following:

1. Set up a "video editor" profile on my pc that's stripped of all unnecessary devices (to free up memory and/or resolve any device conflicts)

2. Downloaded the patch (or was it two?) that was supposed to fix (didn't)

3. Uninstalled and reinstalled the program (cleaned up all the files after uninstalling)

4. Sent a request to tech support for help (still waiting)

I'd be grateful for any advice .... including how to get my money back (purchased by downloading from this site)

I would add a bigger HDD first. Your system is running out of space. Delete unnecessary files and run a defrag and see if that makes any difference. An XP installation takes a lot of room and a small HDD is quickly filled to the point where there is no room for temp and preview files.

Did you get a response that solved your problem?? Did you figure out a way to fix? I am having the exact same problem and -- hopefully -- would like to know if anything has resolved this for you... Thx

You are giving no details whatsoever on your system. How do you expect anyone to help?

I installed the program on another computer with 1 Gig of memory and bought a 500 Gig external hard drive.

I discovered that you must be patient and not try to hurry the process along or the program crashes. I split my photos into chapters and hit "save" a lot while I was working with it.

I also want to state I received more help here than from U-lead's tech support. They advised that I install the patch that I had already installed and then never responded again.

So... thanks to heinz - oz ! My trip to New Zealand is now on DVD and has been appreciated and complimented by all who've seen it !
