MF6 - pressing next on step 2/3 - nothing happens

Hi.

Using MF6 on Windows Vista.

When creating a DVD everything works fine up till step 2. When I press next to go to step 3 - nothing happens - I can't finalize the DVD and burn it - I never get to go to that menu...???

What's wrong?

Did you install MF as an admin user ? ( haven't a clue about vista - but I think that on xp you can't burn, etc. if its not ).

Well, in my case I have tried using several video clips - both MPG2 and AVI from a DV camera - both give exactly the same result.

I have also tried to disable any possible processes that I could - no difference.

I have tried to re-install Ulead DVD MovieFactory - no difference.

I have tried small and large videoclips - no difference.

The SW doesn't hang - it simply just ignores that I press NEXT on step 2/3....

I'm running out of ideas on what to try.....I had Ulead DVD MovirFactory 5 on Windows XP - and that worked fine - so somehow it's a combination of version 6 and Vista as I see it - all other apps. on my PC work 100% correct - only Ulead is causing problems....

Please provide any advice, as I can see from several forums that I'm not the only having the problem of comming from step 2 to 3....

I have the same problem:

I have DVD Movie Factory 5 for Toshiba and vista.
I tried with bigger videos, captured with Premier and worked fine.
However the last test I did, with a video captured with Windows Movie Maker, of 13GB/hour AVI, does not work after step 2/3.
I tried reducing the features added into the dvd menu, but no reaction...
What can I do?
Shall I capture the video again or edit it with another program that is not Windows?

I've tried 5/6 different projects, each time using just an individual video file to test whats happening. In all cases you get to setp 2 and clicking on next does nothing - not a thing. You CAN click on the preview and it will preview your project, but again, clicking Next from there won't get you to step 3 either! I simply can't get to the step where I even have an option to burn As pointed out elsewhere, it doesn't appear to hang, it simply ignores the fact that I've clicked on the button!

I've tried with an imported DVD, a self made MPEG 2 from a live HQ stream, a DIVX file etc etc...NONE of them work so I don't see how it can be the file type that's the issue when ALL files types are doing it

I've uninstalled and re-installed but no difference.
In all cases I'm using the plain and create new DVd function and I've trie a number of 'templates' to try and elimate them as the cause too.

PLEASE help!! The thought of using Nero ...well it doesn't bear thinking about

I have just purchased MF6 it worked ok the first time burning an avi file but now when I click to go on to the next step or click to add a menu it stops responding & I get a bug report!!! and I have to close I'm on WinXp I thought it would be ok on XP, but obviously NOT! HELLLLLLLLLLLPPPPPPPPPPPPP?
