How to define a custom image size ?

I have to work on a video having a non standard image size (544 x 416) and I would like to define this size in the project properties.

But although there is box "defined by user" (just below the "standard" button), I do not see how to activate it (it seems impossible to click on this "defined by user button"):



This is necessary for me to edit, add subtitles, etc...; with keeping the original image ratio and size.

How to proceed ?

This is not DVD formats-compliant.
You need in Compression tab to first select MPG2 or MPG1 video type
then you have much more formats to select from. Chose the closest

For true user-defined you need to select AVI type first in general project properties, which you could later compress in MPG4 if you wish
