I bought this software as a download (since I'm in the U.S.) about a week ago and am thrilled with it. No problems whatsoever with the software itself. I end up making VCDs because I don't have a DVD burner but they play wonderfully in WMP.
I am, however, having trouble making a back-up copy. I didn't order the backup CD at the time of my purchase because I didn't think I could. If the actual boxed product can't be sent to me, I didn't think a backup CD could be sent either.
I work in a network environment and don't have authority to use the backup devices within Windows to back up what I downloaded onto my hard drive.
I started to use the download link to make a backup on a network drive but then stopped. There's a screen that asks if you want to remove previous versions. I fear if I continue the download to my network drive (just as a backup in case my C drive has problems) it will dispose of the .exe file I origianlly downloaded onto my hard drive.
Any thoughts? I only intend to use the one on my hard drive but should anything ever happen to it, I'd have to place a brand new order and am trying to avoid that.
Thanks in advance for any assistance.
CD Backup Problem
Problem Resolved
I feel kinda silly because I resolved my own problem. Since I posted this in the first place, I figured I should write about what I did for the benefit of others.
I had tried to copy of the software onto a CD-ROM yesterday. I didn't think it "took" because after I burned and opened the CD, all I saw were the component files of the program and I had no clue how to launch it from the CD. I poked around some more today and found the application file. I can now launch the program from the CD and will save it as my back-up, should my hard drive burst into flames (humor).
Sorry to post unnecessarily.

I do it even easier. I usually download the program onto my desktop. I copy the downloaded file or files to a CD prior to installing. After I run the exe files from my desktop to install the program into its default locations, I move the downloaded files into a folder on my HDD. That's all.
If ever I need to reinstall and have lost access to the files on my HDD, I copy the files from the CD back to my desktop and install again.
