Express 5.0 will not save images (using Vista)

I have Photo Express 5. I can get it to install, launch, fix images (resize, blur, rotate..etc) but I cannot get anything to save. When I click on the save or save as, nothing happens. The dialog box does not pop up that lets you choose location and file type. I recently got a new computer with Vista. I tried the compatability wizard but it does no good. Any suggestions??? Hi,

Same here with photo express 4, all working, but no saving.
I now use the send to "Mail "ecipient" in file.
I am sending all my projects to my own email adress, then just save the attachments on to my pc.

That's a good suggestion. I didn't think of that! I have Corel PSP x2 on my vista OS laptop but I still like the simplicity of the photo express sometimes. I do have it on my Xp OS desktop so it works flawlessly with that. But I will remember the email suggestion if I am using it on my laptop.

This is why it is not considered compatible with Vista.
Try Corel Media One instead.

Thanks for the suggestion but the budget does not allow for purchasing new software at the present time. It's too bad that Ulead/Corel didn't come up with some sort of patch for the PE5 to work with Vista. But I suppose that if they did that, people would not go and spend more money to get the software that is compatible. Maybe down the line a bit........with gas and oil prices they way they are......I'd still like to eat.

IF Corel did a Vista patch - which they are not - then it would only be for the most recent version which is SIX.

Photo Express is a phased out product.
Please view Ulead Patches and Updates - when you hover your mouse over the link for Photo Express SIX - look at the status bar and you will see that the link reads
http://ftp.ulead.com/pub/Manual/phase_out/pe/pe6e.zip

You will not find Photo Express for sale on the COREL web site - "Ulead" no longer exists - they were taken over by Corel well over a year ago.
