MovieFactory 6 will not see any devices to capture.

I see other's have had bad experiences with MovieFactory 6. My old version ( 5 ) worked fine. When I select start project then select the camera to select a capture device, the program bombs out in about 30 seconds. It says it must shut down. I sent all the debug information to Ulead with no replies. I have the correct file in theTask manager. Does any one have any Ideas? I will try before I buy the next time. Meanwhile I will go back to version 5.
