Moving Still Pic and Text

I have a slide show and movie project that i am working on. I am adding music to it now and I just noticed that i need to move some pics around that have text with them. I move the pic but the text will not go and when i put it where i would like it the rest of the project dose not move down...

So:

A B C D E
M N O P Q

I want to move B/N in front of D/P and have everything shift with the move

I am at my last nerve right now because i cannot figure it out.

Help!!!!!!

The magic words you need are "Ripple Editing"

I would like to think that this would work because I have tried several times and this is what i get every time

Ripple editing will not be applied in this action. Do you want to continue?

What do i do?

I have tried to just move the pic and i get the same message

I am going to pull my hair out

I'm not sure of exactly how you are trying to do it. In the example you quote I would first move copies of the picture 'B' and the sound track 'N' to their respective libraries, then making sure I had ripple editing selected on all tracks I would delete B and N from the timeline - ripple editing should close the gap and keep everything still lined up.

Then I would insert picture 'B' from the library to just in front of 'D' - does not ripple editing then move everything from 'D' onwards to the right - then re-insert sound track 'N'
