Oops. Just discovered a problem with Nero Vision as well. For some strange reason, NeroVision insist on splitting some of my nation AVCHD clips into multiple segments, and it only renders the first segment properly and the subsequent seqments appears blank......
Not very good.....
Can someone put out something that works....... PLEASE!!!!

- In edit tab (it should work in capture but I haven't tried it), File>InsertMediafile to Library>Insert DVD/DVD-VR. Then select the AVCHD folder. I brought my files in via the Panny software and it essentially stores the entire set of folders (have no idea what the rest do). The software converts mts to m2ts. Using VS11, there is no issue with the importation, but it still does not recognize the fielding.
Have you tried using Nero Vision to convert to HD mpeg and then importing into VS11 for editing? If Nero works you might be able to convert to progressive format. It is worth a shot.
I have a sony HDR-SR1 and recently downloaded VS11+ trial and am having problems adding already downloaded video from the camcorder to PC hard drive to my project in VS11. When I look in the folder with import video or DVD commands all I see are other AVI files in the folder and not the m2ts or modd files. Is there a a solution to this once the video is already on the PC?

There seems to bes ome issues with the Sony SR1 as well.
I hope that helps.
Also see this thread.marshall wrote: There is definitely some problem with the UVS11 handling of transcoding AVCHD files. I can't import m2ts from my sr1 (because the stupid sony software only gave me the m2ts file and not the directory structure) so I can't compare......
I hope that helps.

AVCHD folder worked!
Copying the entire AVCHD directory did the trick. I can't thank you enough. I have been banging my head on the keyboard for hours trying to figure out how to get this to work and I haven't even tried to render video yet.markk655 wrote:There seems to bes ome issues with the Sony SR1 as well.
