I'm using Ulead VideoStudio8, rendering a 2 hour mepg capture, to a divx avi file, ( divx 5.2.1 ) and keep getting a insufficient disk space error at about 90% of rendering file, and i have over 100 gig of hard drive space left.
Anyone have an idea why this keeps happening?
thanks,
Kirk

In that case I suspect the DIVX codec is aborting the transcoding for some other reason, returning an error, which UVS then incorrectly reports as an out-of-diskspace condition.
I would try to encode the same source video using another codec, or possibly using no codec at all (uncompressed) to see if the source video is damaged. If you can encode the video using another codec, it it probably some condition that DIVX doesn't handle. If you can't encode it uncompressed, then the source video is bad.

Having the same problem
I am trying to burn to DVD and get insufficient space error. My drive is 200 G NTFS. 77 G free. Reports less than 200 mgs.... This is not my primary drive.
I have no clue.

Re: Having the same problem
You also haven't given us one -- what version of UVS do you have, what are you trying to burn to disk, is that a VCD or DVD, how long is the video, what project settings are you using etc.?vicmac19 wrote:I have no clue.
