Hi All,
I have been attempting to convert home movies to mpeg2 format so I can upload to watch on my Tivo unit. Problem is Tivo does not like the mpeg flavors Ulead makes.
Has anyone successfully created an mpeg that your Tivo will accept?
Does Ulead allow addition encoder drivers (like MainConcept)?
The compression options have a pull down for encoder drivers, how do you add to this list?
Any help would be nice.
Thanks,
Noobie

I don't know what could be soooo special about your Tivo that it doesn't accept mpeg files made with VS. Maybe your mpeg files are packaged the wrong way.
For anyone to give you any meaningful advice we need to know a lot more about your project.
This will give you an idea about the details we need http://phpbb.ulead.com.tw/EN/viewtopic.php?t=8959

sorry to be such an idiot
I believe the 2 question are directly enough. Sorry, I will rephrase.
1) Has anyone successfully created an mpeg file using VisualStudio 10 and transfered it to a Tivo (series2)?
2) Can you add mpeg encoder drivers to VS10?
As you are well aware, there are literally dozens of options and settings involved in trouble-shooting. I would not assume to ask for that kind of help.
I attempted to phrase question 1 directly at a fellow Tivo user. This would give me some hope that it can be done.
And question 2 is, well, if I could add the MainConcept encoder to the list of compression options. Not sure how else to phrase it.
