Is the Preview option disabled in the trial version of ULVS 11+? I can't seem to preview my project before I go to the burn screen. When I press the "Play" button, I get a black screen and a blue bar flashes on the bottom of the screen. Need to get this matter cleared up before I upgrade from ULVS 10+.

I going to guess you did not have this problem with VS10. You should know what and how to access the Preferences dialog. It has not changed. Check to see what the Instant Playback Target is set to. It may be for some reason set to Dual Head device or DV Camcorder. If so try setting it to Preview Window.

I should have mentoned that the Instant Playback Target is set to Preview Window. Strange, but when I use ULVS 10+ it doesn't matter what it's set to,
Preview Window, DV Camcorder, Preview Window and DV Camcorder, or Dual Head Device. In all setting I am able to preview videos.
