Dear Forumers!
I've been using Ulead MediaStudio Pro 7.0 (now it's up to date, SP3 is installed) video editing suite for a long time ago and I've got a problem. The Video Editor application when I drag&drop one audio track under another it reduces the volume (to 75%, I guess) of all the tracks while two audio sequences are being played. This is very annoying when creating audio crossfades, because the first track starts fading from 75% instead of 100% and the second track's volume will be risen until 75%. The result is when the first track ends the second track will change its volume from 75% to 100% under a 1/25 (or 1/30, depending on the framerate) second, which doesn't sound good at all.
I noticed earlier when I was using MSP 6.5, this kind of bug (or feature) wasn't present. It was only implemented from 7.0, still don't know why, still don't know its purpose.
I tried grouping the two tracks at the mixing panel, but no success.
Tried setting the cross-fade resampling option at the Preferences panel from Linear to Logarithmic, no success.
Anyone experienced this problem and has a solution?
How can I avoid this?
Thanks!

Video Editor 7.0 audio mixing problem
This was a known problem with v. 7.0 but was cured in v. 7.1 or later.
I respectfully suggest that you have not succeeded in installing the updates. Note that some free versions may not accept the service packs/patches. What is your version no. in Help|About?

AFAIK, you have to install a SP, preferably SP3. In any case, you should do this because there are a host of other fixes and improvements.
