I'm trying to re-edit one of my favorite movies, but VS 10 is giving me problems with the ripped dvd footage. When I edit and save it as an mpeg, the playback is not fluid. It's slightly "clunky". Furthermore, though the audio portion is separate from the video, I get loud pops whenever a transition effect or even just a cut is applied to the VIDEO portion.
When I just used captured footage from an external dvd player, none of these things were a problem. But for some reason, I can't get a normal result from ripped dvd footage. Why?
Whoever answers, please let me know if you would be willing to IM back and forth for awhile, as there is much more to this problem, and the solutions I have tried, than what I menitoned here. I don't want to spend days playing the "have you tried this? Yes. Have you tried that? No" game. Thanks!
