WinDVD 8 Freezes

I have XP Pro on my Athlon 64 PC. The program works fine, but sometimes when I FF or RW, then play, then FF, then Pause, it permanently pauses. I have to boot out of the program completely then restart. Any body has any ideas why it does this? Thank you.

I have the same problem and the only reply I receive from tech support is to do a clean reinstall which does not alleviate the problem. I have had some success by opening Task Manager and selecting the Processes Tab.
Highlight WinDVD.exe and then right click on the WinDVD.exe and goto Set Priorty change too Realtime then close WTM. After a few seconds the program should unfreeze and work properly.
