moviefactory 6 will not open any capture

I have had movie factory 5 running successfully on my system. after installing moviefactory 6 plus i find everything to work except i can not capture anything. all I get on trying to open capture is a blank window. any sugessions as i have installed and removed everything to do with videos to try getting this working. I even removed every detail of unlead from the registry. I also downloaded a trial version to see if mine was corrupt but the same thing happens on opening capture a blank window. Any ideas. remember i said versions 4 and 5 both work when installed

Can you check and see if this file is loaded and running resident under "Task Manager"?
DevSvc.exe

The file is loaded on bootup and runs as a service.
It's used for capturing in MF6+. It's located on your harddisk in this location:
"C:\Program Files\Common Files\InterVideo\DeviceService\DevSvc.exe"

If this service isn't running and this file isn't listed under TaskManager I cannot capture in MF6+ either. So I would see if this file is loaded and running as a service.

yes I have checked task manager for the service and it is there. When i click capture devices i get a blank window open. then when I close it it continues to run in the background until I shut down the program.

i still have the same thig happening with capture just a white blank window. this is all capture tuner and firewire. the only difference after removing all other video programs is when i close the blank window it does close and not just hang in the background. capture works on all other programs i install. any Idea's Has anyone else know or had this problem. i thing its got something to do with modules not being found, but i don't know what to do about it because capture works on other programs when loaded.

So I could not discover the problem but in the end found the program could not find certain modules. my answer to it. format the disc and reload now all works well.
