Can multi-trim window clips be saved as a batch?

Can the clips that are created in the multi-trim video window be easily saved as AVI's, either one at a time or as a group/batch? Womble gives the option of either adding each marked clip to the Timeline or to the Trim window for file saving processing, but I couldn't find a way to do it in MSP8.

Select all the trimmed clips and put them on the timeline (hold Shift or CTL to select more than one trimmed clip). Then Project / Smart / Smart Trim

Thanks for your suggestion and I tried it.

I used Ctrl to select two clips on the time line, but when the Smart Trim window opens I get the main full video listed in the Trim list on the left and all the clips listed in the File Segments on the right. I tried to select specific clips in the segment list but none of the clips appear to be selected. So I click on just one and it converts ALL the clips.
