So..thought I'd finally give this freebie Cool3d thang a look. Initially put off by the small square black screen which cuts off the words your working with..but impressed with the 'explosion' effect so gave it a try.
Entered a few words, Lakewud productions etc etc..the usual naff you know what I mean..added an explosion combined with a few effects like the steel bolted look and embosed. Saved it into VS10.
Once in VS10 found the file alright, played it to a degree, but more a static image, jumps a little from the first sec to the last.
Basically, not intending on using this too much, but tell me please, how can i get a..say...10 sec or longer/shorter shot, of lakewud productions to appear, explode for example and leave screen ( fade if possible on appearance( or is this done via VS and not 3D?..using 3D only for the actual look of the lettering and explosion or bounce or whatever )).
Any tips please. Just curious about this program Ive have lying around since Ive purchased VS9!
Using Cool3d with VS10+

This might be best served in the Cool3D forum, but...
Not sure what you mean by "saved into VS10". Anyway, I think Cool3D defaults to 15fps, so you have to change that to 29.97 for NTSC or 25 for PAL. Also the default duration is only 10 frames (not even one second) so you have to adjust that too. Under Image there are different settings for your outputted file also. Finally, when you are done did you choose Create Animation File > Video File?
For an example of a Cool3D title click here.

Thank you for the reply. Appologies this is not in the correct forum, will check the 3d one out for tips.
Looked at the example you gave, how'd you get a background for the wording of basketball 2007? Did try chromakeying it etc with VS..but im sure there must be a better way?
And...
When you say adjusting the time of the words etc..how do i go about doing that.
I will look at the other threads and see what they say.

Are you talking about the blue basketball background? That is actually a Digital Juice clip. The DJ clip is on the main timeline with the Cool3D title chroma-keyed on the overlay track.Looked at the example you gave, how'd you get a background for the wording of basketball 2007?
Again, I'm not sure what you mean. Did I say that? Are you talking about the duration being 10 frames? If you are in NTSC land, for example, and you want the title to run for 10 seconds, you would have to adjust the duration to 300 frames (29.97 x 10). To have that toolbar appear click on View > Animation Toolbar. When you say adjusting the time of the words etc..how do i go about doing that.
