Working folders, folder organization

Post by tommytucker »

Just remember seeing a screenshot of someone showing how they organize their folders for projects. Can anyone advise on the best way to organize project folders, working folders, music, bmps, support and original files for working with VS10+?

I just make folders for each project. Right now I am working on a baseball video. I capture my clips to my baseball folder on my HD. In VS I have Video-Baseball library, an Audio-Baseball library, etc. When I am completely done with the project I can just delete the libraries and folders. Neat and quick.

To access the L.M either Go Tools –Lib Man or select it from the list via the drop down arrow next to where you change the library type.Choose the media type then new-name it,select edit to amend name/description if required. You can then delete the named folders and their contents in one go when you want to. regards Ken

I am also interested in a screenshot I saw, someone had subfolders for Burned, Images, something like that. I have the source AVI files that are then used to 'burn' a MPG file for inclusion later into a final project file to actually burn to a disc. Also the VSP file. Just want to keep things organized for later modification of the project, but of course don't want to edit the MPG files only AVI from orginal VSP...whew...I am getting confused again already!
