Just some simple questions I hope

Post by CaptainKen2 »

Hello everyone, would someone like to take a stab at answering these questions?

1) Can the clips that are created in the multi-trim window be easily saved as AVI's either one at a time or as a group/batch? Womble gives the option of either adding each marked clip to the Timeline or to the Trim window for file saving processing, but I couldn't find a way to do it in MSP8.

2) I know how to split the audio and video, but how do I rejoin them without have to delete and re-add the clip, thereby loosing any applied effects?

3) Is there a way to "lock" chapter cues to certain audio or video clips. It drives me nuts every time I need to insert, delete, shorten or lengthen a clip on the time line, and all the Chapter cues after that point have to be re-done. Doesn't make sense to me that the cues are locked to the time length of the video rather then specific points in the video scenes. Commercial DVD's are done by scenes. Even DMF6 gives option to create cues based on already defined ones stored in the imported MSP8 file or to create them at certain intervals, so there is a need.

4) Is there a way to print chapter cues?

5) This question has more to do with DMF6. When you auto create chapters, DMF is smart enough to find the points, but lacking in importing the already named chapters. Is there some trick to getting the names?

6) I love the floating and flying titles in the "Russ Lockard Memorial" video found at:

Would anyone care to shed some light on how it was done? Is there a Smart Composer template for it?

Thank you,

Ken

Some of your questions are not so simple and are of widely disparate subjects. To attempt to reply to them would produce a terribly uncoordinated thread.

It would be much better to ask each one as a start to a separate thread, with a clear title appropriate to the subject. That way you are more likely to get answers where the thread can be easily followed.
