Phil,

In your email to me you stated that you purchased the Full version, however if you will look above at the text in red, you will see that your version is a SE or simplified version. The SE versions come bundled free with hardware, and may have been altered by the manufacturer of your purchased hardware to work with the hardware.

What is the make/model of the hardware (video capture card, capture device like an ADS Tech) you purchased?

I know you have been instructed on reinstalling the program. Did you follow the instructions concerning a complete, clean uninstall? Try doing a complete un-install/re-install. Ulead programs leave a lot of files behind. So just doing a simple add/remove programs from the control panel and then re-installing may not correct some issues. Instructions can be found here : Re-installation of Ulead Products
When you do this make sure that you have all background applications disabled. This means antivirus, spyware/adaware programs, internet connections, instant messenger programs.
When is the last time you defragmented your Harddrive(s)? Before installing go through and delete all files located inside your Temp Folders. Do not delete the Temp folder itself, just the files inside. Then run a defrag on your hard drives. This places everything in a contiguous manner, making it easier for your system to read/write. Once that is done then Re-boot your system, and just prior to installing, check again to ensure all those background applications are disabled. Then try installing it.
