I have been capturing my old VHS tapes to DVD, successfully so far. However a couple of times MF3 has split the capture file into two parts (usually as it gets towards the end of the cature) as the capture gets towards the limits of a single layer DVD.
Is there an option somewhere I have not noticed or is this something MF3 does automoatically?
When I try and join them the file size doubles and when burnt to DVD there is a 1 sec delay during the transition from one file to the other, which i can live with but would rather not have!
Any experts out there experienced this glitch?

Windows version?
File system in the hard disk? Is it FAT32 or NTFS?
If the file system in your hard disk is FAT32, then it will have a 4GB file size limit so the capture file must be divided.
Have you applied the update packs from http://www.ulead.com/tech/dmf/dmf.htm ?
Hope this helps.

Hard Drive File System
Thats it. The file system is indeed FAT32. If I reformat to NTFS will it cope with larger file sizes then.
Does the update pack also help with this problem?
