Hi All
I have wanting to substantially reduce the length of an avi file. Ok so I edit the last 30 mins off in the edit line and go to create video file. I select properties same as first clip and it renders until 99%
Then I get the "there has been an error with VS9 and Microsoft has to close the application - sorry .... blah blah"
I have tried it 3x and VS9 is consistent in it's refusal to render the file.
any ideas anyone ?
many thanks Vince
"Add Video" causes VS to crash at 99% rendered

Hi Vince,
An AVI is a container, or wrapper. It can hold a variety of video file formats, such as DivX, Xvid, DV, MOV, and even MPEG-4. Could you right click on a clip in the timeline or library, choose properties and copy them back here? Where did the source video come from, and how did you get it into your PC (capture it)?
