"Fail to Burn" error

I saw a posting similar to this a few months back, but there were no replies so I thought I'd post the problems I've been having.

I can successfully create my slideshow and when I go to burn it, it renders fine... after about an hour, as it begins to write to the disc, it gets to roughly 45% and then the disc is ejected and an error message, "Fail to Burn" pops up. That's it. No other explanation.

I've read through all posts related to burning problems, downloaded the patches and yet no resolve. I've contacted Tech Support, and they suggested I uninstall and reload the program... did it... still same problems.

Has anyone else encountered an issue such as this? I've got a great slideshow I'm supposed to bring to an AF retirement this Friday and this is the first time I've run into a problem like this after 2 years of running this program on my laptop. Ack! I'm trying not to panic here...

Any feedback, advice, words of wisdom you can offer would be greatly appreciated!

I am having a similar problem. My slideshow will compile but then crashes when it is time to burn the DVD. Have not tried burning a Cd yet. I am using an LG Light Scribe DVD burner and am wondering if this software does not keep up with the newer technology when it comes to the burners. It does not mateer what speed I set it to burn at; and yes, the DVD burner is working fine. I like the software and what it does, but if I cannot burn then it was a waste of money for me. BTW: where did you find patches for this program?
