Fade in - fade out Is it possible?

Ok , quite new to C3d. I understand most of the whistles and bells, but all i want to do is fade-in the title, then fade out - while retaining the backgrond image. Can this be done? I can't find out how, which I would have thought quite simple - or perhaps I am!
