I've lost my buttons and menu templates on re-installation

Some months ago I was having alot of problems so I uninstalled and re-installed my program (DVDWorkshop 1.3) Since then I've not been able to use menu templates, buttons or frames and have just customized to get the work out. I'd like to I guess, de-install and try re-installing again to get all the program together in the right files but can't afford to lose the masters I currently have on the computer. Is there a way I can save the master files and still uninstall and reinstall the program?? I have two harddrives and would like to install all the program on D drive. How would I do that? I only have 512 MB of Ram....is that enough???
