Unspecified Error 5:0:0 during DVD creation

During the creation of a DVD, I encounter "Unspecified Error 5:0:0". When I hit the "Back" button, I get "Out of Memory"

I am using VideoStudio 10 Plus with service pack 1 (Full version as a download)

The failure usually occurs when the total progess is at 99% (after the menu creation).

The DVD to be created contains 7 clips.
Each clip have chapters automatically created.
Menus do not have any motion, but does have background music.
There are no Menu In/Out transitions.
The DVD is being written as an ISO and not to a DVD
The total DVD size is 3.85GB (1hr 4mins 19secs)

Video files were rendered in VS10+ with the following options:
24 bits, 720x480, 29.97 fps
Lower Field First
NTSC, 16:9
Video data rate: Variable (8000 kbps max)
Audio data rate: 448 kpbs
Dolby Digital Audio

I am using the Video Editing profile as outlined in this forum and I am creating the DVD with an empty project. I have followed the recommended DVD creation procedures.

I have tried this on 4 different systems w/ the same results. I am able to create DVD images of each video individually.

Any suggestions?
Any way to run VS10+ in "debug" mode?

If I were to create a DVD using the same 7 clips without any chapters, the DVD image creation works fine.

The DVD size is 3.65GB. Is there a limit to how big the DVD image can be?

Sounds like it has something to do with the menu, but usually you get the Convert Step Has A Problem error.

Have you tried burning using a different menu, or without the music?

What type of background music is it? MP3s can sometimes cause problems. Converting to WAV often helps.

Sometimes overlapping buttons or text that overlaps buttons on the menus will cause problems.

I tried using one of the thumbnail menus (05vs_Sce_B04_w) with no motion menu, default background music, no menu in/out transitions and it still failed with the same "unspecified error 5:0:0" and "out of memory" message when I hit "Back".

Again it is failing right after creating the menus (before doing the video/audio multiplexing).

I have also tried it without background music and that failed too.

What is interesting, vstudio.exe is using 1.5GB of memory when the process fails. Should it be using 1.5GB of memory?

Is there a memory leak in this program?

I did try using a text menu (05vs_Text03_w) and interestingly enough that created with no problems.

Any other thoughts?

I am finally able to successfully create the DVD image using the 7 clips by reducing the number of chapters in one of the clips which also reduced the number of menus.

I originally had over 200 total chapters and about 55 menus.

Now I have a little over 100 chapters and about 30 menus.

Is there a limit as to how many total chapters/menus can be created?

Yes. You can have up to 99 chapters per video clip. Perhaps you exceeded that on one of your clips.

Yes, I did have 99 chapters in one of the clips (photo slideshow), but would that have caused VS10 to throw an unspecified error?

If that's the case, why not limit the number of chapters to 98 so the DVD creation does not fail?

Is it even possible to exceed 99 chapters in a single clip?

I get the exact same error.
I am creating a DVD with VideoStudio 11.
Creating a DVD with or without a menu makes no difference. The error always occurs at 99% completed (=very frustrating).

When I just bought VideoStudio and had not yet installed the additional Content Pack, I also created a DVD. This worked without any problems. After installing the additional Content Pack, it does not work anymore.

Might this be the cause or just coincidence?
