intervideo information service

I installed WINDVD8 and it went ahead and installed "Intervideo Information Service". I am PISSED OFF that when I try to remove this there is NO DAMN WAY to do it. I uninstalled WINDVD8 using Add or Remove Programs, but there was no option to uninstall "Intervideo Information Service." When I try to delete it, Windows says: "cannot delete Promotion Agent: access is denied". Don't you dare tell me that I had the option NOT to install this screwy add-on when I installed your product. I have read in the help that "And you have the right to disable this program at anytime by disabling the function in InterVideo Information Agent." But, DAMN IT, I don't want to disable it, I want it OFF MY COMPUTER, NOW.

I agree that it's pretty rude that this gets installed w/o user approval (or knowledge). Furthermore, even if you disable it, it shows up in the system tray every time you start WinDVD!

You can, however, just delete the the installation directory to remove it. That, in itself, is pretty screwy. Why isn't this registered with the OS?
