Stuttering video/audio HD DVD playback on Toshiba XA2

Post by jfkeenan »

Hi,
I love MF6+. I have the Sony HDR-HC1. I import 20 seconds of video. The clip imports as:
24bit 1440x1080, 29.97 fps
upper field first, (HD-DVD-NTSC) 16:9
Video rate: 25000
Audio rate: 384, mpeg layer 2, 48kHz Stereo

Then MF6+ says, do you want to match project... I say yes.
I burn to DVD+R

When I playback on Toshiba, it stutters constantly (audio & video).

Does anyone have a HC1 & XA2 or can offer a simple walkthrough?

I would record at least 5 Minutes and use a DVD-R dvd.
Usually this is be a problem with the unit reading the dvd (read errors).

:D

The DVD-R made all the difference. I created a HD-DVD project 7 minutes long and burned it to 2 DVDs. One DVD+R an one DVD-R. The +R was all jittery. The -R worked perfectly.

I guess the constraint is the Toshiba XA2.

Thanks!
