Sound problem - static

Post by kei »

When I edit clips in Videostudio 9 I am having as problem with the sound and motion.
When I play in Clip mode the sound and pictures are both fine.
But when I play in Project mode the sound is replaced by static and the picture is jerky.
When I burn to DVD the pciture comes out fine but the static remains on the sound track
The problem is not with the source clips as i have edited the same clips successfully with Videostudio in the past.
Can anyone help me here? Cheers

More info???

I don't understand why you guys keep asking for more info...this problem has been around for months!!! I was hoping Ulead would have it fixed in their next version (VS 11) but I just downloaded it, and the same problem persists....audio in the "clip" sounds great, but nothing but static in the "project".

The only solution I received was to go back to an older version of QuickTime Player...unforunatley, my iPod needs the most up to date version...so why doesn't Ulead keep up with the latest versions and technology also?

Ron asked for more information so he could try to help the OP with his problem. Ron is not a mind reader and did not know you found a solution to your problem (which is similar to the OP's) because you did not post such solution in your thread. As for Ulead fixing it in v11, did you notify Ulead of your findings, because I'm pretty sure they are not mind readers either.

mind readers

Ok...so I had that coming...maybe :-)

On the topic of finding a solution...reverting back to an earlier version of Quicktime was suggested, but I never said it worked (which it did not for me)...and reverting back to an older version of something to me, is not a solution, but a lazy way of saying, "We know about the problem, and MAYBE we will fix it someday".

As for contacting Ulead...I can guarantee they already knew about the problem BEFORE they released VS 11 (I can read there minds, you know), but since it only affects a small minority of people, they were not going to hold up the release of VS 11...they must model themselves after Microsoft, huh? (Don't buy Vista by the way...it's a piece of junk.)
