Downloaded all 3 VS11+ files, installing program file installer starts goes to near completion and then quits with a fatal install error with no other information OK. Tried several times no luck.

Dale,
Each time you tried and it failed, did you immediately try reinstalling? Did you check to see what, if anything may have already been installed? If it did partially install, you will need to "clean it up". Try going through and deleting anything associated with VS11, before trying to reinstall.
You might also be sure that your antivirus, etc., are disabled, and that you are logged in as Admin, and the drive that you are installing to has full Admin privileges.

I almost installed but appeared to fail at point that when updating Registry.
I removed all traces fo install from system. Also tried install now on another AMD64 X2 system and it installed and operates pm that system. But that is not my editing computer.
I want it on the AMD64 3800 system where I do all my captures etc.
