Video Studio 8 "SE" version

I just downloaded the patch to allow dual layer burning of DVD's. When I went to install the patch it informs me I must have the "SE" version of the program.

How do I get the "SE" version of the program to allow me to add the Dual layer portion of the program?

Is it saying that you have the SE version, and the patch doesn't work with it, or is it saying that you must have the SE version in order to use the patch?

There are two versions of the V8.01 patch here, the first one is specifically for the SE version, and the second one for the non-SE version. I suspect you accidentally downloaded the wrong file.

You cannot install Dual Layer Support file for SE version.

SE means Simple Edition, which is a version that comes with your hardware device.

Dual Layer Support file can only be installed for full versions (Retail and ESD).

Thanks HT. I always thought SE mean 'Special Edition', but I guess 'Simple Edition' is closer to the truth!!!
