ZOOM SPEED ISSUES

Everytime I set the zoom option to zoom in on a picture, it starts off zooming real fast, than zooms in slowly. Essentially, I can't maintain a consistent zoom speed. Despite the length of the image, the zoom still jumps off at the begining.

Does anyone know how to correct this problem?

Have you tried using the "Customise Pan and Zoom" function to set the zoom speed to exactly what you require on each image ??
