vs10+ projects in vs11

Post by surfer »

On one windowsxp i have a videostudio 10+ version. With this there are serveral projects made, video and slideshows with photo's. Works fine. But as curious as i am want to try videostudio 11, so downloaded the trial version and installed that on a second xp configuration (read other installation). So for the test i wanted to load several projects into videostudio 11 wich were made of course with version 10+ but there appears a error that the project can not be opened: wrong format??

Is this not possible to load a videostudio 10 project in videostudio 11?

The projects are diverse (photoslide shows with photo's wich still remain on the hard drive, videoprojects where the videofiles also are on the harddrive but on another partition drive letter, this musn't make a difference though because videostudio always ask to relink.

You should be able to load a project file from an earlier version
(VS8, VS9, VS10) into VideoStudio 11.
You seem to be aware of the need to keep the source files in their original locations and aware of the relinking message that can rectify a change in path due to a different drive letter as a result from booting from a different partition.

Does your copy of VideoStudio 10 contain any enhancements such as the burger transitions, FXBench, Boris transitions etc.

I noticed that the 'Moving Paths' plug in by 'stage tools' does not work in VideoStudio 11 and causes a crash. Perhaps you have a similar plug in installed?

The album transitions are not included in the trial version.
