Hi everybody. Recently I began to use a Sony camcorder that records in AVCHD format (1080i resolution). The output files have the .m2ts extension.
I read that Intervideo/Corel announced support in WinDVD 8 for playing AVCHD files, and the WinDVD product page states "H.264 MPEG-4/AVC support" so I downloaded the program to give it a try.
However, once I installed WinDVD 8 it didn't recognize .m2ts files at all, and when I tried to open one .m2ts file manually (file..open..) the program crashed.
I would like to know if WinDVD 8 actually supports AVCHD, or it's a planned feature.
Thanks!
Problems playing .m2ts files (AVCHD) on WinDVD 8
